De regreso de Tijuana

*cae al suelo*

Cruzar la linea siempre termina agotándome. Fui a hacer los debidos homenajes a mi ma'.

Feliz Día de las Madres, especialmente aquellas que trabajan tanto y reciben tan poco.

They're focused on the border itself and what people think about it. Main parts are about people who have to cross daily, those in Tijuana who want to cross but can't and those who never want to go to the US, and how San Diego and Tijuana affect each other. I've seen a lot of their footage; it's really fascinating.
The head filmmaker had family and other people she knew on both sides, so they interviewed them along with some other people they found while filming.

Hmmm, yeah, that sounds pretty cool. I'd love to see it.

I took for granted the relatively easy access to San Diego that I had growing up, that I still keep forgetting how many people live their whole lives in Tijuana and have no interest of ever crossing the border.

The screening poster is here. I'm in the Farmers' Market group.

I wonder if they'll do anything with the film besides this screening.
