Otra ciudad, no la mía.

Fui a Tijuana ayer. Pasan meses y los cambios que veo me maravillan tan solo por ser cambios. Maneje por áreas que tenia muchísimo tiempo sin visitar. Cosas rutinarias, nuevos edificios, lugares transformados, calles con pedazos destruidos en el pavimento (¿que pex con eso?) y posters gigantes de Madrazo por todas partes. Después del aire medio estéril de San Diego regresar a Tijuana siempre es despabilamiento.

Es proceso de desprenderse. Con el tiempo al pensar Tijuana será solo mi memoria de una ciudad que esta dejando de ser. Hay cierta libertad en esto. Coincide con un deseo de cortar ataduras y ligeramente con fantasías de desaparecer de mi propia historia.

Meanwhile, back on the enterprise, no sé si ya te diste cuenta pero por la red le están haciendo alarde a un saite que ha hecho un parody de Star Trek (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/10/06/star_trek_parody/), ahí mismo podrás dar con el link de los moviemakers. RE: Tijuana. It is freeing to see it slowly become something diferent. It thwarts loyalties, leaves me breathless and giddy. My lovely-oh-so-unlovely-city becoming a place to explore. Like the dreams I have sometimes, where places are not quite right and doors and rooms appear in my childhood that were never actually there.

I can never leave my past, but oh the thrill of chunks of it going on without me. To be rootless, to only be me.

I would talk like a pirate if only I could. I can only do the Argh! and say Matey! a lot. Soo sad, considering it wasTalk Like A Pirate Day only a few weeks ago.

I would not think our views would mesh. I knew it as I typed those words. They come directly from the heart though, somewhat to my surprise.

No la extraño, lo que no me deberia sorprender si me pongo a pensar un poquito. Siempre parece me muevo en una burbuja. Viajo a otras partes y no me afecta como a otras personas, eso desde morra. El dicho "No matter where you go, there you are" se me aplica. Mi espacio es el que llevo en mi cabeza. No al 100%, no soy inmune a la nostalgia de lugar, pero junto con la nostalgia siento una opresion de la que siempre quiero escapar.

RE: Periodicos. ¿Puedes creer que solo hay uno? The San Diego Union Tribune. Hay mas publicaciones, pero periodico en forma nomas ese. No lo leo. Siento es un periodico menos interesante que el LA Time o NYT.

Leo solo el NYT los domingos, compre subscripcion dominical.
