Si tuviera que apuntar hacia un relato que muestra lo mejorcito que ha producido este fandom seria hacia dos fanfics, Interstatial de Punk M. y Three Impossible Things. Como otros fandoms el fanfic de Smallville puede llegar a ser tantas veces mejor que el texto que lo origina que me quedo sorprendida, pero a diferencia de The X-Files o Highlander los mejores escritos son siempre slash.
Sobre el tomar riesgos y callar la vocecita interior que evalua cada accion, y el destruir con buen egoismo los rielitos de las expectaciones. Sobre Lex por fin con la mujer perfecta, pero no la persona perfecta y un Clark que por fin entiende.
Mas largo que el tipico fanfic, toma a los personajes y los pone 5 años en el futuro, eliminando tal vez el factor *squick!* que a algunos lectores los aleja de este fandom, ya que en la cronologia actual de Smallville Clark tiene 16 años y Lex 22.

"For some reason, I thought I left this behind when I grew up." Lex's voice is bitter, and Clark feels himself pull back a little, and he hopes his body isn't following his head. "I--fuck, the *airport*?"
Clark blinks. "What?"
"I can't see her today." In a single quick movement, Lex is sliding to the floor and stalking to the bathroom. Curious, Clark follows, noting absently that Lex looks just as cool morning as afternoon. Clark stops at the door as Lex stops in front of the mirror, and long fingers close on the edge of the sink. "Fuck."
"What?"
Little half-turn, and Lex is looking back at him with wide eyes and a smirk that's never had even a passing acquaintance with humor.
"She'll know."
Oh. *Oh*. Clark's fingerprints on Lex's back and his teeth on Lex's neck and he hadn't really been as careful as he could have been, and there's a section in his mind that tells him that part of it was deliberate.
"I didn't know you took her that seriously," Clark says, and his voice is surprisingly cool. Points for self-control, because all he really wants to do is pull Lex back to bed and spend some time looking him over. Strip off those pants and touch him. Carefully.
